From all-star chefs to small artisanal businesses, Oakland is home to a new generation of foodies who are revitalizing the community and attracting national attention. Donor Forum members and their guests were invited to join OMCA at a special event to hear from three stars of the Oakland culinary scene: New York Times journalist and acclaimed cookbook author Mark Bittman, Executive Chef of Brown Sugar Kitchen Tanya Holland, and OMCA Trustee Dana King. The three discuss who and what is driving the Oakland food renaissance and how the current wave of the "eat local" movement continues to challenge the way we think about other current issues such as immigration, global warming, and conscious consumerism.
I was in charge of designing the invitation and all the extra items that go along with the event, such as the RSVP card, menu/place card, gift box sticker, donation form, escort card and name tags.
